The CESSDA Data Citation Working Group brings together experts from across the CESSDA consortium with the shared objective of advancing and harmonising data citation practices within the social sciences.
Its primary mission is to develop practical guidance and resources that support researchers, institutions, and data repositories—including CESSDA Service Providers—in implementing and fostering effective citation of research data.
To achieve this, the Working Group undertakes a range of activities, including:
- Developing practical and stakeholder-specific recommendations
- Conducting outreach and awareness-raising efforts
- Analysing and documenting data citation practices among CESSDA Service Providers
- Promoting interoperability and integration with research and data infrastructures
